History of Immunology Department
The Department of Immunology is one of the basic science departments of the medical school. This group was established in 1995 with the aim of establishing and developing basic and applied research in immunology jointly with the hematology group.
In the early years, the group's activities were limited to educating medical students and various departments of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, but in later years the group taught immunology courses in laboratory sciences, operating room, anesthesia and master's degree in parasitology. Participates in paramedical and senior courses in microbiology, biochemistry as well as dentistry.
Currently, with the completion of its faculty, it is trying to accept students in the master's degree in immunology.
At present, this group has 5 faculty members (1 professor and 4 assistant professors) and 2 master experts who are responsible for the laboratory and practical classes.
The immunology group teaches theoretical and practical immunology courses. In charge of all sections and fields in Ilam University of Medical Science. Also, providing educational and research services to graduate students, masters, internships, children and PhD students in other fields is one of the activities of this group.
Educational activities of group professors
1. Teaching immunology courses and courses related to laboratory sciences in a combined form (virtual-face-to-face) in medical, dental, paramedical, nursing and midwifery faculties, as well as the university self-governing campus in all undergraduate, professional doctoral and clinical specialties.
2. Holding educational, research, management, entrepreneurship and skill workshops for university faculty members and students of different levels in the form of Student Research Committee, Student EDO Office and Talent Unit.
